Ministry Experience

Greencastle Christian Church, Greencastle, IN
Outreach and Missions Minister, full-time.
Oversaw Global Outreach program: missionary care and correspondence, missions
education/promotion, Faith Promise campaigns, led/planned short-term mission
trips, and managed a missions/outreach budget of $250,000. In addition to the
missions program, I also headed up community outreach efforts (some having
over 200 volunteers), adult discipleship ministry, visitor follow-up, and
first impressions ministry. I regularly taught in the adult discipleship area
and preached 5-6 times per year. In my spare time I volunteered in the worship
area and led two young adult small groups.

May 2002 - May 2004
Glendale Christian Church, Springfield, MO
Youth Minister, full-time.
Organized and carried-out programming for 50-60 6th-12th grade students.
This involved teaching, planning, developing curriculum, worship leading, recruiting,
training, discipleship, home groups, sporting events, counseling, one-on-one
mentoring, publicity, shepherding and hospital calls. I also led trips to
conferences, events, and short-term mission trips to Mexico and to a
Hispanic area of Tulsa, OK.

Jan. 2000 - May 2002
Mound Valley Christian Church, Mound Valley, KS
Youth Minister, part-time. 
Elementary through high school
age. Taught at the weekly Cultureshock youth program. Taught and wrote
lessons for weekly home Bible studies. We averaged around 25 students in a
church of 80 and a town of 400. Organized a weekly after-school program for
grade school age, and coordinated summer VBS program.

Summer 2001
Chile, South America
Missionary Internship
Spent two months in Santiago and San Carlos, Chile.
We worked construction, preached through an interpreter, participated in
radio shows, accompanied in worship, taught English, lived with nationals,
and learned about the cross-cultural field.
